Never have stopped at any scales in Canada or the US. Never had any request to do so, or ran into anyone in my travels that has. I'm sure some have, just don't know any.
I also agree that many pickup trucks are registered commercial, and are not expected to stop at scales.
So I just keep my head down and tow away! Were just Campin!! (in really nice campers)
