I understand where you are coming from. I would have had some of the same issues with the Kodiak disc brake rotors if I had not drilled out the rubber grommets that the pads slide on. They have always been in a bind and would not release the brakes properly causing heat issues. No problems since and have never had any alignment issues or tire issues. Don't blame you for looking at something else!
