Just to clarify, on my previous Reese install in tow different pickups, the brackets are indeed mounted to the SIDE of the frame with two bolts each. Just like Bruce, Huck and Golfbears mentioned. NO drilling ever though the top or bottom frame webs. Big no no in the truck world.
