So here’s my question. Should I bite the bullet and buy it to hang under my unit until it dry-rots or should I buy something cheaper as a spare and if so, what?
I don’t foresee wearing out the four on the ground within the next four years so the tire I buy will most likely never be put into regular service.
Thanks,
Phil
Hey Phil

Just seeing this and see you ordered a tire.
FWIIW, I have had a G-114 blowout on our last trailer.
Seeing how it destroyed itself I would never trust them with a comprised sidewall or tread.

On the plus side after the blowout and subsequent claim to Goodyear, I received a check for 100 % of the damage including one wheel and 5 new tires.

The 5 tires were 5 years and a couple months by date code and about 4 years 9 months by purchase date.

That said, I am also planning to limit the tire life on our trailer, also a 2019 39 DBRS3 to 5 years.
