Wilma and John, you're welcome. I had posted again, but guess it didn't go through. Stop at one of the information centers (there's a good one coming into Harlingen) and get information. There is one little booklet thing that has a number of parks in it--shows amenities, addresses and phone numbers. Also there is a brochure that shows the valley area--all the little towns and highways, so that will give you an idea about the area itself. At least you can call some parks and find out if they have sites available and the costs.

Also if you get on RV.net Open Roads forum, there is a big section on things in the RGV area--things to do, see, etc.
