The trailer came from the factory empty of all of your "stuff" and water too. The weight that is important is the max or GVW of the trailer as no one tows an empty unit other than a delivery service. You tow the trailer loaded and need to know what that weight is. That tells you if you are in the specs for your tow vehicle.
