Well, glad you found it the hard way, 'cause probably none of us have ever lubed one of the bushings. My wife restrung many of these, and even the large rear one, and they never got in a bind.

ON EDITL: Keystone Cougar brochure shows the 314EFS to have GVWR of 11530,
so my original thoughts may be correct.

Could be done, but safely? Legally? Don't know. Standard trailer hitches aren't rated for the Jeep towing weight. Lights? Brakes? Seen lots of boats behind, ATV trailers, but not a Jeep.
