First time owner questions

I am about to buy and park a fifth wheel in my driveway. I have questions about what I should and or should not do. Any advice is welcome and thank you very much. I have a truck that is equipped to have a fifth wheel hitch put in but I don’t want to spend the thousand or so dollars to stick it in the back of my 2500 short bed Pick up. My idea is to have it towed into my driveway for 200 bucks and after I finish remodeling my house I will sell it and the person who buys it will move it then. I am also planning on only using the gray water tank because I have four bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs which did not flood. My thinking is that I can run a hose from the grey tank into The plumbing release valve on my house right next to where I will be parking at. I have no intentions of keeping it but I can’t live the way that I am at the moment. Any advice is very welcome.

Buy used, well used, buy cheap and sell cheap. Do you "tap a bladder" in the middle of the night? How about Momma? She make an occasional night run? Just use the black tank and have a septic company come once a week. C'mon, man, y'all can't run behind a tree at 1:30in the morning....;)

I agree with Jim buy used and use the black tank at night. First thing to check will it be is it okay to park in your driveway for what ever amount of time. That is city, county, is it legal. How about neighbors be okay with it?
Do you have a sewer/septic clean out close to were you are going to park it?
If not like Jim said once full just call and get it pumped.

You should have a sewer cleanout/access somewhere around the house--find it. Then get a FloJet macerator pump that attaches to the sewer drain and use a water hose to pump waste over to the sewer access. Should be good for over 100' if not 10' up-elevation difference. Then you can use the trailer facilities as you like and dump thru the macerator pump. I did this for 3 months while house was remodeled, works a lot better than going over to the house at night....

I use the flo-jetfor sewer. I don’t but could easily run water. Used an extension cord (12 gauge) with adapters to keep batteries charged up. Had a 50 amp RV circuit installed now. If you have room modify gate and park it in back behind fence. Check with code but ours don’t care as long as it’s in behind the fence. The space from house to fence is 13’ and the gate is 10.5’ wide (not shown). RV plug is under garden kitchen window.

I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to live in your own driveway. But the law can get strict in some places for their own reasons. This is definitely a great idea

Office staff asked if someone would be living in it. I told them that I might use it for visiting company for very short term. I don’t want anyone living in my RV except ourselves. They just said ok. No permit needed or anything else.
