I should install this so its always active. I get lazy and if I see good voltage on my surge guard then I don't put it on. I'm in a state park and using a 30 amp plug and its 100° out. :-( With both ac's running and being careful not to use any other 120v item we have been making out fine. Last night we started tripping the breaker. With the campground full for the weekend my volts went from 122v to 113v. I put the auto former on and it raised the volts to 123v and the tripping of the breaker stopped!! I have two extra plugs I installed, one of them I use for the battery charger, residential refrigerator and our upright freezer. The other plug is used for toaster, hair dryer, coffee pot etc. These two plugs are plugged into the 20 amp plug at the pedestal.

OK, to the point, I don't know if I have enough room to install the auto former. I just don't see enough room in there. Any ideas? I'm now convinced that it should be or I should use it religiously.

I installed mine in our 2007.5 36SB3 with no issue. I transferred to our 39TKSB3.

Looks good Ron, I guess there is enough room in there. I'll have to do that.

Remove the junction box completely. Add a male cord cap to the end that will plug into the back of the auto former. Ass a female end to the cord that comes from the reel and plug into the male end of the auto former. I used 1/2" "L" metal screwed down on the right side of the AF to keep it in place and in front to keep it pushed back tight to the frame and male connector.

Alright! That looks good, thanks for the pictures. Grandkids are driving me nuts now but later when I have some down time I'll install it.

I have one I used with our previous rig.

Never thought it did much and with the already heavy trailer, this item is part of the diet.

My inverter supplements shore power when there is a “shortage” so that helps, not perfect though.
