2005 36 TK3 I really want to change to a residential fridge. I have figured out everything except the kitchen sink island (?) I have not found a fridge that is shallow enough to fit in the opening where the Dometic is and still allow the kitchen slide to close.

Only solutions I can think of is to modify the sink cabinet or to move the entire island. I don't like either. So, does anyone have a solution? Thanks

Cross RV in Indiana installed a Samsung in my 08 TK3. When the slide is all the way in it misses the counter top by 1/4".

Hey Oldbird. Thanks for the reply. Thats Paul Cross right? Do you have the model number of the Samsung? I cant find a samsung less than 28 inches deep. my dometic misses by about 1 inch or less. Thanks for the help.

Yes, it was Paul Cross. Great guy and service. Did the install in one day. The model number is RF18HFENBSR. The install was two summers ago and so far so good. Except for a bunch of clicking noises once in awhile its been working great.

The island can be moved also. It is secured to the floor by lag bolts. Just need to watch for clearance with the plumbing.

Paul told me that he had to move the island just a 'hair'. I think at the time he said that I might have had a funny look on my face because he said he moves them all the time.

2 long lags at each end of island inside end doors. Easy to move. I just put tape on the corners at the floor to mark where the island originally was so that I could tell how far I moved it. Only thing I had to really do was cut the drain pipe and then reconnect it using a rubber coupling. Everything else had enough give in it. Fairly easy project. Good luck
