Raining quite heavily here in Portland, OR. Started to get water dripping through one of the AC ducts. Any ideas how water can get in the duct? BTW, we did not quite clear the roof of my storage area so we busted the forward AC shroud which I replaced. Could a seal be the problem?
Thanks in advance. See pic.

Yes, the seal may have been flattened by the a/c unit movement, even if it was a slight move caused by the breaking of the shroud. I pulled my a/c unit off and replaced the seal. Not as big a job as you would think. You might bre able to remove the shroud again and tighten the a/c unit down to the roof a bit to see if you can seal it up again without lifting the a/c unit off. Worth a try. The rain water is getting past the seal then water then drops into the ductwork and will run to the lowest point.

Dometic makes a seal kit for the ACs--suggest you get one.
Then do as Stacey suggested--but if you are going to go to the trouble to get into the AC unit, you should replace the gasket.
Good luck.

Thank you so much for your replies. I had a plane to catch so all I could do for now was to tighten the bolts and store the rig. I won't be back to Portland until May but the rig is under a canopy in storage. Hopefully it will be ok. BTW, I had to remove the shroud to move it under the roof with a 1/2" at the most to spare.

Also if drain is clogged and high humidly (rain), lots of condensate will form and be sucked in ducts.

I had the same place on our 2007 Elite...turned out it was the rubber grommet on the local antenna was missing......around the cable going into the antenna....several squirts of sealant did the trick.
