I have a Cougar 327RES . It has 2 tank level indicators ; Black 1 and Black 2. The Black 2 tank has never registered a level other than "E". There are 2 levers; Black Tank and Black Tank. Not 1and/or 2. When I pull the BT right handle it drains but opening BT left handle nothing drains. Keystone says BT is 38 gals.
Any idea why I have 2 levers that say Black Tank? Why only 1 of the indicator lights, Black 1 works and Black 2 never gives a level other tha "E"thanks for any help,
Terry

Best way to check all the tanks/discharge valves is to take time to get everything emptied that you can (don't want some black water on the ground...). Then open one valve at a time and run water to see where it shows up at. Clean water only--open one, nothing? then go to next one. You'll figure this out before long.
Most tank level indicators are notorious for not reading correctly, at least shortly after being put in use--may have to get used to it.
The 2 BT labels are prob just a stupid mistake at the factory--if that is the worst that happens on a new trailer, consider yourself very lucky.
Generally, you would have only 1 BT and 1 GT--but many units can have 2 GT valves due to floor plans.

My Cougar 277RLSwe has a Black tank 1 and a Black Tank 2 on the indicator the black tank 2 reads empty all of the time. I only have one black tank. I have two gray tanks and I have 3 levers a black tank, a gray tank, and a Galley (gray tank) There is no 2nd black tank. all three tanks flow into one outlet.

Thanks for all the reply’s and help. Yep we got it figured out. I relabeled the 2nd pull as Bath Gray and mentally know that the Black 2 on the monitor is that tank. Thanks again.
