Hi everyone. We are new to the 5er scene and looking forward to it. We don't have our unit yet but will take delivery of a new 2016 Tesla 3970 Toy Hauler in about 3 weeks. I am buy a 2016 Chevy 3500 Dully to pull it. We have had trailer trailers and currently have a motorhome that we are trading in. We have an alpaca farm and go to shows in the motorhome pulling an alpaca trailer. The down side to that is no vehicle to drive around town once your there and that's why we decided on a toy hauler. Don't have any toys but the alpacas will ride nicely in the garage area. Looking into some add ons. Can anyone recommend an good wireless camera system that does two cameras. Would like to keep an eye on the alpacas and the traffic that I may pass going down the road. That was one thing I liked in the motorhome and my wife is requesting it again. I will post a picture of the new rig as soon as it is in.

Well, that's a first for me--packing alpacas.

As to the camera--they are out there, have you used google?

Welcome to the forum.

Hi Joe. Glad I could throw something different at you. I have used Google and searched the web. I was hoping maybe someone had some experience with a particular model and could tell me how the worked. You can't always believe the reviews you read.

I have a GoPro 2 and used it on our first trip to AK in '12--it did real well in getting videos of everything at about 160d straight ahead. It suffers from 32gb card max and heating up that shuts it down. We just got a 4Silver that takes 64gb micro cards, and will use it beginning on June 4 going back to AK.
The 2 we had to manually turn on/off, as it was powered by a USB port on my truck that is always hot. The new one will work off a smartphone and be easier to control--I hope.
The battery life on these GPs is short enough to be a concern if you don't figure out how to power them from the vehicle. I don't know how the heat issue is going to be on the new one.
We had to hang it from the top of the windshield to a) minimize heat reflection from dark dashboard, and b) reduce amount of vehicle hood coverage that comes from the fisheye lens. It does have an auto upside-down top right-side up picture adjustment, so hanging it from the top the pics are still ok.
Have heard from a couple of Cobra owners who are satisfied with their operation/results, at much lower cost.
