Got the new Towing Guide from Trailer Life for 2006. Look at the Ford, Chevy and Dodges number for a Quad Cab (or Crew Cab), DRW 2WD and Turbo Diesels. Dodge is rated at the lowest. Then could not even find ratings for a 6 sp with 4.10 rear end is not even listed in this years literature. So I am not sure what that means. I surely hope they don't drop that combination for the product offering.

Ford is rated 16100 lbs with either 3.73 or 4.10 and either Automatic or Manual transmissions.

Chevy is rated 14900 with manual tranny and 3.73 and 16400 with Automatic and 3.73. I didn't even see a listing with a 4.10 Rear End.

Dodge is rated 15900 with Automatic tranny and 4.10 rear end, and 15850 with manual tranny and 3.73 and with 4.10 is not even listed.

I will probably have to replace my truck in the next couple years, I sure hope either Dodge beefs up their numbers or the Ford PS get better. Sure wished I could get the Ford F-350 truck with a Cummins in it!
Cheers and Happy New Year!!

That is why I sold my GMC and went with class 6 MDT. Had for a year and will drive it tell we quit fulltiming or maybe I will keep it, love to drive it.
And not because is has twice the tow wt. and 2 1/2 the combined wt. I do only get 12 to 13 mpg solo, but then I get the same pulling a combine wt. of 32,000lbs.
Hop you get the wt. you want to pull with.

That book is useless. What they need to do is publish the GVWR and GCWR instead. Who cares how much a truck with 1/2 tank of fuel, no extras, and a 150# driver can pull. The ratings are phoney and make some pick out a truck without the proper knowledge.
