I have a 2012 Keystone Cougar and have consistently had problems with my gas regulator. When I have one of the two gas tanks run out, it doesn't automatically go to the next one. Then when I get the tank filled, I have one hell of a time trying to get the regulator to turn green. Last time we were in florida, it turned cold and I fought with the regulator for two hours before it turned green. Is the obvious answer, get a new one or is there something I am doing wrong. Help!

The regulators are non-serviceable. Just get a new one and get rid of your troubles.
What is the brand of regulator that you have? Seem to remember that Marshall Brass is no longer is in business--they used to make most of these auto-changeover regulators.
Also, it has been mentioned on some forums that the new style propane tank valves do not like to be opened fast after a fresh fillup, and may not open at all--probably not your situation since it has happened for 3 years now.
