Dometic 1292 bulb replacement

Well after several years the bulb in the fridge has gone belly up. Now the question. How the heck do I remove the cover to get to the darn thing? I have pulled, pushed, tugged, cussed and wiggled but can't figure out how the cover is held on. I want to get it off to get to the bulb so I can replace the darn thing. What is the secret to this thing? The manual was no help and doing a search gave me a diagram but not how it's held together. sigh.....

On mine the cover just slides off toward the back of the refer.

Mine light quit and it isn't bulb.

Got it opened up yesterday. Thanks for the hint on the cover (lens, top and bottom) sliding to the rear. The bulb looked good and when I got my multi meter still showed continuity. I hooked up a test lead and used a battery to test the bulb and it lit up. I cleaned the contacts in the fridge, put the bulb back in and it works again.

Cheap repair. I like those the best.
