Does anyone have the direct email to Mr. Peck at DRV? I have been told by Hehr to start with him about my cloudy windows.

Thanks,
Joe

Hi:

tompeck@drvsuites.com

You need pics, measurements and location on the rig. We did not install ourselves, so provided a shipping address in IN. Sometimes, Hehr sends glass only and sometimes they send the window with frame.

Good luck.

Yes, and sometimes they send 13 windows (glass only) that arrive at destination in 1 million pieces.... :(

Ask me how I know....

Wingnut60,
Did you have to pay for them? Or are they under warranty?
I ask because I have a couple bad ones too.

Based on several notes on this forum, the windows have been replaced for others free--and would be installed also if at the factory. I believe that Hehr will ship the windows to me after I provide measurements--just saying where the window is and what year isn't enough to get the right size. Others have said there is a 5-year warranty on the windows, but I am not sure of that.

Ours for our '06, were installed at no cost to us. In talking to Donna at Hehr Windows, windows are being replaced for any units back to '04, in good will. Apparantly, Hehr used glass made by another company that did not hold up; they are now making their own glass and replacing any foggy ones. You still need to go through Tom Peck, however.

When you measure the windows measure from the outside of the rubber.

Don't get creative just measure it this way and they will fit.

Not hard to put in.

Have replaced all of mine with the exception of the rear window. It's still clear.

If you have any questions call Donna Darren at Herr and she will be glad to help you. Nice lady.

Ponch,
That is good info, was waiting for clarification from Peck. Do they send new gaskets?
Thanks,
Joe

Herr's Number is 574-935-5122.

They are or were on a shorty work week. Ask for Donna.

Ponch - Did you put them in yourself. Or did you take it someplace?

I called DRV about getting my bad windows replaced and was told that Hehr only warrantys their windows for 12 months.

Does talking to a particular person at DRV make a difference?
Or should I call someone at Hehr?
Or am I screwed?

I have a 2004 unit and after talking to Tom Peck about a month ago, I just received my two replacement windows. I expect to replace them myself very soon.

Mr. Peck had me measure all the cloudy windows (this means ALL but the side windows on slides) and has sent Hehr the request for replacement.
He also caught a mistake on my part in the measuring--he has been very courteous and cooperative on this. The windows had a 6-week lead time and are supposed to be shipped soon.

I have no complaint on how this is being handled--I would never have thought Hehr would stand behind them at this timeframe. If I can't do the install myself, will have it done and consider it still a good deal.

There are some absolutely first-class companies to deal with warranty-wise, and Hehr seems to be one of them. Include with them the Fantastic Fan people.

Perhaps we should publicly acknowledge these companies in our forum? Anyone else feel like this? We seem very quick to publicize problems with companies, shouldn't we do the same with good results?

I totally agree!

It is very nice to be dealing with companies that care about their product as well as their customers.

There are a lot that aren't worth a well ,never mind.
