Since I've had the MS I've had a small leak that comes from behind the wall of the blackwater flush hookup.. It's not the hookup,,, I managed to get back there and everything is dry. It's further on down the line.. it starts about 30 sec. after I turn the water on to flush, and leaks out between the body panel and the sealed panel..It's probably the hookup going into the blackwater tank.. Thought I would ask before I started tearing into stuff.
Thanks Sam

On my unit there was an anti-siphin thing up in behind the shower that was in the line between the outside hookup and the black tank.

It got clogged so I took it out and put a inlet on the outside that had a back flow preventer in it.

The thing that I am refering to has hose clamps on it, so it is possable that your leak is on it. I found it impossible(short of tearing out the steps or cutting a hole in the floor) to get to the top of the black tank where the flush sprayer is hooked to the hose.

To get to mine I had to take the drawers out of the pantry and there is an access panel in the pantry that comes off and it give me access to the rear of the shower fixture and the anti-siphin thing that I am talking about.

Good luck...I hope this helps you..

Morescuba,

You don't indicate which model or size unit you have. On ours that valve is located in the area between the shower and the pantry. There is a small square panel held in with 4 screws in the upper area of the pantry. The back flow preventer that was pictured is right behind there in our rig and easy to swap out. Check to make sure it's just not a loose connection to the hoses first before you change it. Mine was only loosely screwed in and the thing was leaking because the guy who installed it only had a couple threads engaged instead of tightening the connection. If it does need to be replaced it's available at RV supply places in the plumbing area. I think they were about $10 to $15 or so.

MorScuba,

You might check the direction of the backflow preventor. Mine as well as others was installed backwards, which put pressure on the fittings and it apeard to leak, but was in fact preventing the water to go into the Black tank thus putting pressure on the fittings. There is an arrow for the direction of the water flow. I reversed it and all was well. Good Luck
