Need to replace a screw in trim on roof. Trim is a strip "joining" front cap to rubber roof. I'm can buy a tube at $12 from a RV dealer, but only need a smaller amount = rest will probably go to waste. Have lots of stainless screws.
So.... can I buy a small tube of silicone? i.e tub and sink caulk?
Suggestions please.

On the roof I use the DAP seam sealing caulk, same stuff they used at the factory as that's where I got the first tube. Once you get up there look around. Chances are you'll see several seams or spots where some caulk will be needed. Pay particular attention to both end caps, the openings in the roof for skylights and edge seams. As the rigs age things seem to shrink a bit and seams start to open up. You'll probably use most of that tube. Make sure you take something up there to clean the areas you are going to caulk so it sticks better and don't be stingy with the caulk either.
